Macleay Island Op Shop

Skilling Queenslanders for Work participants have completed a major upgrade to the Op Shop on Macleay Island.

Manager Tony Cotroneo said that the 11 participants completed a huge amount of work and made improvements to the building, including:

  • Fire Proofed Outer Wall of the Op shop building.
  • Painted two roller doors
  • Built bench in the sorting room
  • Concreted path between shop and side fence
  • Built cupboards and shelving in the container
  • Built shelving underneath the work area
  • Fitted shelving to shop and sorting room
  • Painted exterior of the Opshop
